Command View 7.0 license & previous Business Copy licensing

Hi,

Case:
Exisitng EVA4000 with 1 TB Command View license (Paper license at that time)and a 1 TB Business Copy license. (XCS6.1 & CV6)

Customer needs to add unlimited CV7 license (now eLicense), after upgrading to CV7 and adding this unlimited base license, will the existing BC license still works? (or needs to be migrated??)

There is a 180 day 'instant-on' feature which allows access to all features (CV, BC, CA), so your customer will not see an immediate feature loss. But the BC (and CA) licenses must be migrated, too.

I know from some customers that they have been notified by HP, but I am not aware what needs to be done so that HP can track license ownership when the product was sold through a partner.

allows you to generate, manage & migrate your EVA licenses so this may be a good place to start?
