I have created Virtual Disk in EVA 4000 and presented it to a windows based host. There is only one fiber connection from the host to the SAN switch. But, I still can't see the vdisk from the disk management after rescannig.

Any help, please.

Hi,

When you added the host in Command View EVA, did the HBA's WWN appear in the drop down list, or did you add it manually ?

If you had to add it manually, that's an indication that there's some zoning configured on your switch which is preventing access to the EVA.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Rob

Check:

- Sanswitch connection, ensure that you can see the WWN of the Windows HBA in the sanswitch using "switchshow" command.

- Check the Topology of the HBA adapter, it should be set to fabric.

- Check the host type on the EVA host definition, it should be Windows.

- Check switch zoning configuration, if any.

- Reboot the windows server.
