FC60 Write Cache Active not enabled

Hello,

I have an old FC60 in a development environment that is showing a Ready status but is under performing.

One thing i have noticed in amdsp is that WCE and CME is enabled on each lun but neither WCA or CMA are showing a cross against them when i would expect them to. I have looked on amcfg, ammgr and amutil but see no options. The controllers show a good status and i can see i have 256mb cache. Why is Write Cache Active and Cache Mirror Active not being utilised?

Any ideas or suggestions are very welcome. I am at HP10 and know HP12 is available but this machine isnt under a service contract but is this a firmware problem?

Hi,

WCA or CMA are not active could be due to your battery unit is charging or not working. please check its status. Don't think this is a firmware problem.

do you have the 'amdsp -a' output for the array?
