    <description>hi madasamy,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;how do you configure the multipath from OS level?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you are running hpux, vgextend command can be use for disk alternate pathing.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If windows, the HP native MPIO basic failover could be install and use.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Rgds</description>

      <title>MSA 1000 Storage Array</title>

      <description>I am facing one issue last weekend . My MSA1000 got disconnected from servers while it switch over from primary controller to secondry controller due to some error on primary controller .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I need to know while switch over from primary to secondry all server disconnected from array and Drives not accessible . Is it normal ? or some where it is wrong in controller ?</description>

      <description>Hi Madasamy,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ur controller Firmware Version: 4.24&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I mean this is factory default firmware, so U should update latest firmware 7.0 then Ur contorller supported Redundancy Mode: "Active/Standby Asym-Active/Active" &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After update firmware I think so Ur problem will be resolve.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best of luck....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks--Yaqub&lt;BR /&gt;HP Support!!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Yaqub,&lt;BR /&gt;please don't make such blank statements.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Moving from active/passive to active/active controller firmware is a deep change and most likely required updates on the switch and host infrastructure as well. Every upgrade needs careful planning and requires knowledge about the customer's current environment. It is very often not possible to upgrade the controller firmware alone and stay in a supported situation.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Can anyone confirm this current firmware will support only active/passive , If we update to latest firmware which will support active/active this will solve this issue .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hosts are all windows and Multipathing configured .</description>
