topic disk firmware question in Disk Enclosures

We have an MSA 30 disk bay with 289243-001 (72GB drives); the server is a rx2620 and it uses a Smart Array 6402 controller. I received a notice to check the disk firmware as part of critical update notices. I determined that the disks and controller meet the criteria, but I can't determine what fw is on the drives since we created a logical volume. Is there any way to determine what firmware is on the drives?

Shalom,

You should be able to determine this by using ACU, array configuration utility for you OS. You connect via a browser and drill in for details.

The Smart Array 6402 controller does not connect to or have anything to do with the MSA-30

You can also connect to the MSA-30 via a console serial connection and use utilities to determine the information you want.

SEP

I'm using hpux and don't think there is a utility for the SA6402. I'll try consoling to the MSA device itself.
