topic ML370 G1 increase RAID size ? in Disk Enclosures

I've read that I can replace my RAID 1 drives, one at a time, and increase the storage capacity of my server. It's running raid-1 (mirror only) under Windows 2000.

The tricky thing is the RAID controller is the old RAID-on-a-Chip (ROC) which "upgrades" the on board SCSI controller. It's worked flawlessly for the past eight years. We've finally run into the limit for our 36 GB drives.

I'd like to upgrade the drives to 72GB. It seems like an easy thing to do but I'm a little nervous that the ROC won't work as expected.

Can anyone ease my worries?

Thanks,
Jason
IT Manager
