Hi,

Introductory notes
it is always the best to separate the management apps (the CPU load, the flexibility, etc.), e.g. one for CVXP AE, one for PAXP (on for the PAXP HA), one for the RAID manager, one for the SE management server (with the providers on the separate servers)

The Storage Essentials
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storage/software/e-suite/sam-infrastructure.html
is a pretty complex product including the Oracle db, HP SIM, etc. so it is better to be a dedicated server

Note
HP Storage Essentials SRM XP Provider Software integrates with HP StorageWorks XP without the use of HP StorageWorks XP CV Advanced Edition Software. The Storage Essentials XP Provider ships standard with HP Storage Essentials SRM Enterprise Edition Software. You can manage HP XP, SAN infrastructure, servers all from a singe interface.
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storage/software/e-suite/se-resources.html

in my opinion it is not a good idea, because e.g. in case of the host HW failure you are loosing the whole storage management tools
