Unrecognized Fibre Channel physical disk drive firmware

Hello Guys,

I have added few new disks in my EVA6000, after this i am getting error in EVA Event log as follows

" An unrecognized Fibre Channel physical disk drive firmware revision has been detected by the physical disk drive firmware load process.
Corrective action code: 4d "

My New HDD Details
------------------

HDD Size - 300GB
RPM - 15K
Model No - BF300DA47B
Current Firmware Ver-HP01

EVA firmware Version
--------------------

EVA 6000
Controller Firmware Ver - XCS V.6110

According to the error code i have to update the firmware of HDD. but the HDD firware is recent one. and we upgraded the EVA firmware couple of months back only

Could some please help me about this issue.

Hi,
try to upgrade the firmware of this disk via this HDD firmware bundle, which automaticaly selects the latest firmware for your HDD....

You can commit it via the CommandView CODE LOAD section.

UVA,
the disk drive has current firmware - the June 2008 bundle does contain the HP01 image.
I'd say XCS 6.110 simply does not understand that HP01 is current.

I have One Quick Question, how can i update the firmware on these HDD as i have some other disks with differen models, size and rpm are also available in my diskgroup.

Do you have any Procedures availabel for this,if you have any step by step procedure or link. if so that will greatly appriciated.

Hi,
the bundle contains all HDD models so the only task for you is to
1. unzip the HDD firmware bundle
2. go to the CommandView EVA Code load
3. start the HDD firmware upgrade

The selection of the disks and their appropriate firmwares are fully automatic
