EVA5000 and VCS code 3110 and disk fw bundle

I'm going to upgrade an EVA5000 vcs from 3028 to 3110. We are also going to install 300GB - 15k disk drives (AG425A). Will this vcs 3110 code be able to load hd fw bundle from dec08 so that the 3110 code will recognize the 300GB drives proparly?

Hi,
it is very probable that the new disk bundle is able to correctly recognize the AG425A. It is fully online with no downtime:

Some additional notes:
the online firmware upgrade is fully supported (no downtime) with the prerequisite that all hosts has correctly set the disk IO timeout values.

The HBA bios, firmware versions, multipathing and driver versions should be compatible with the VCS 3110 - can be checked here: http://h20272.www2.hp.com/

These are listed as supported on the 3.110 release notes.

Could it be possible that if I upgraded the code on the disks to a newer fw than the 3110 itself support, I would have problems?
Or if the 3110 does not support the latest disk fw, maybe it will not allow me to upgrade to the latest disk fw?

the bundle does it automaticaly, so this situation does not occur. The latest bundle is from the december 2008, so it is very probable that it includes the latest supported disk firmwares...
