I have recently upgraded firmware on several XP24k's. All went well except one. I now get an error message when I try to create a CVS volume from the web console.

"An error occurred during array controller processing. If the problem persists, please contact your HP account support representative (3305 3003)"

There are no sims showing and all looks well in the Maintenance window. I can create CVS volumes from the svp.

Any ideas??????

I would suggest raising a call with HP.

Alternatively you could post some screenshots and give more details what you are attempting. E.g. are you attempting a Volume to Space operation or actually creating a CVS?
Is it OPEN-V.................

I get the error when I go to Customized Volume - Install CV - Step through the screens to create the volume.

When I apply, the install screen comes up for several minutes. It never gets past zero %, and then errors.

I have attached some screen shots.

sorry i'm stumped.

looks like a call to hp. although seeing as you've been upgrading the ucode yourself :-S

i assume when you say you can create cvs volume in from the svp you have tried the same volume (parity group, size, emulation, cu:ldev address.....)

or may be just keep using the svp and wait for the next version of ucode.

Thanks for the replies. It looks as though the svp is the problem. I stepped through some screens yesterday and found some other symptoms. I can not set the svp ip address with out error. I tried to reapply the firmware and recieved errors updating the svp. I have one on order and will update after it is changed.

Chuck
