Hi,

The doc http://www.hp.com/cposupport/manual_set/lpg28364.pdf

does tell you how to upgrade the firmware though.

Though in the past i have had HP CE's do the firmware upgrade for Autoraids, I would be interested in knowing if anyone else has followed this procedure to upgrade the firmware on the 12H arrays (Autoraid)

-Regards
Ramesh

If you download the new firmware for the autoraid, there should be instructions included.

My recommendation, if you have an HP hardware support contract on your autoraid, is to get HP to do it for you. That is part of their job.

MAKE SURE you have a good backup of all your data on the array before starting this though. If anything goes wrong, there is a chance you'll lose your data.

Hi Error:

My, you are an AutoRAID guy today.

1) The safe answer - call HP and let them do it.

2) Download the firmware and execute the 'download' command.
arraydsp -i to get the ArrayID
download -C firmware_file ArrayID

Man download for details.

I've done about 20 of these and have never had a problem. Make sure that all data is backed up. I've never needed the backup BUT ...

Clay
