      <description>Hi there,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can you please tell me how I can either find or calculate the RAID stripe size, the partition offset and the allocation unit size for the RAID array on a Smart Array P400.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Many thanks for any help offered</description>

      <description>That must be a Windows setting, since partitions are created by Windows NTFS filesystem, not the SmartArray.</description>

      <description>Thanks for the response. You're absolutly right that the partitions are created by windows. I've used the diskpart utility to display the partition offsets but have been informed that these are not necessarily correct for logical partitions created on an array. If anyone has any information on this or the correct method for creating a logical partition with a predefined offset I would be most appreciative. This is in relation to the correct disk configuration for SQL Server on a RAID 1+0 array</description>
