MSA1000 28 Disk shelf with 2 controller

i have msa1000 having 2 controller connected with rx2660 machine.

i want to know the MSA1000 product number and serial number?
how can i know?any command or procedure??
serial numbers are written back side of shelf but product numbers are not mentioned?

any one with command????

from the CLI type 'show tech_support', the top of the output will give you some of the info but if by "product numbers" you mean the part numbers then here are the basic parts.

Just to clarify, its the MSA's CLI Larry is referring to.
-You need to connect to the MSA via serial cable.

Bits per Second: 19200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None

Now in order to check warranty i need product number details.

i donot have serial cable with me??

Any way around????
if use serial cable then would it show product number like xxxx.b2xxx

Hi Again,

No, these older disk arrays wont show partnumber wia CLI.
You could however easily find it on google if you search on the product name, The parnumber should also be locaded on a sticker close to the serial number.

What type of disk shelves are we talking about here? MSA30?

Well with 2 controller of MSA1000
there are 28 disk shelf including MSA30.

So how can i check warranty against these products.
i only have serial numbers

You will get most info from an ADU report (array diagnostics utility).
However, the HDD's HP serial numbers is ONLY stated physically on on the drives themself on a litle blue gray sticker.

I think SCSI drives has 3 years of warranty and SATA drives has 1 year.

If i were you i would try to dig up the invoice for that system, the serial numbers and partnumbers should be stated there.
