POST Error: 1794- Drive Array Battery Failed

Hi there

Hope someone can help with this issue?

I have recently replaced a failed array battery on a Smart Array 6i Controller (Embedded) on a DL360 G4. It appeared to be working okay for 5 / 6 weeks after replacement.

It's now reporting to be in a failed state again.
The firmware version on the array controller is 2.80.

Are ideas?

You may need to replace cache controller which provides the charge to the battery. I would order the BBWC kit and replace it to fix this problem.

Same issue here. We have firmware 2.84. Not on all servers, but, typpically, only with the servers were the battery was replaced shortly. It worked fine for a few days and then again wrong

We are going to try to replace the 128MB cache.

BTW the so called faulty battery works well with the 128MB cache module replacement, P/N#351518-001.
