DMX 3 Disk Allocation

All,

I have worked on EVA and XP arrays. We recently installed a couple fo DMX3. I have the ECC admin guide.

I need help with disk allocation. Do you have any documentation that describes the entire process using ECC ?

Any and all help is greatly appriciated.

Probably not the best place for your question, as this forum is really for HP Storage products.

You probably want to start over at http://powerlink.emc.com

However when I had the misfortune to have to work on a DMX-800 a few years back, it was a painful experience. Hopefully things have improved, but having to specify LUN sizes in terms of number of cylinders, wasn't a nice place to be...

Yea. I am in the same situation.

But isnt it similar to the HDS and XP lun allocation?

I have a powerlink account but its not much help as these forums. Three cheers to HP !!!

No idea how to carve LUNS on the DMX-3. thats why i asked the question :)

I've never used an XP or HDS box, so couldn't say.

Finding documentation for the DMX-800 though, was like looking for a needle in a haystack...
