topic MSA2000sa - SFF drive compatibility in Disk Enclosures

Hi everyone

We are looking at buying an MSA2000sa (SFF model). However, the list of drives on the spec sheet appears to be very limited. For example, we'd like to make use of the 500GB MDL SFF drives, but it is not listed. The spec sheet appears not to have been updated for quite some time - is this drive supported now, or is there planned support for it?

Thanks!

This drive is now listed as being compatible with the MSA2324sa G2 on the spec sheet at http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13331_div/13331_div.pdf.

I am not sure however if a firmware upgrade will be required to make the controllers recognise them. Anyone know this information?
