Might still be listed there as a history yes.

One thing you can do also besides the ADU report is to hook up a serial cable to the front of the controller and use hyperterminal or similar to get more info when you're trying to reboot the controller. However you can't run any commands, it's just output message.

If you start ACU/array configuration utility you can get a more graphic display than the ADU showing more severe errors.

Hi Guys,

We have a MSA500 connected to a cluster (two Dl380s running windows 2003) and it has a exchange 2003 database in it.

Suddenly the database files started to corrupt and the corruption is spreading (randomly).

Can you please give any reasons for this, and is there anyway that I can check the array disks for errors (besides ADT)

Thanks in advance
One more addition:

Can a failure of a controller in the array cause a bottleneck in I/O operations and corrupt the files?

If a controller is failed, how can I identify? Does the error
53 REDUNDANCY FAILED NO SECOND CONTROLLER
indicate an controller failure?

Yes, that means that one controller is failed or powered off.

Yo have to run ADU to get a report of the status of the MSA and it' disks.

If one of the controllers is powered off and then powered on again, can the message still be there ?
