53. REDUNDANCY FAILED NO SECOND CONTROLLER

Hi Guys,

we have a MSA500 disk array, with two controllers. One of the controllers (right side one from the front view)is displaying the following message:

53. REDUNDANCY FAILED NO SECOND CONTROLLER

Both controllers are up at the moment.

What is the cause for this message, and what steps should be taken?

This is regarding the controller. The other one is primarilly about the errors in database and disks. I *think* they are separate issues.

The cause is that they stopped communication with each other for some reason.

If both controllers are online and not faulted, you'll need to look at the logs.

Can you post the ADU report?
