Thanks for the response. I saw these parts numbers as well but wasn't sure. Are these definitley for the interconnect ports and not the two mirror ports?

Hello,

I am putting an EVA6000 together that was delivered in pieces - not built in a rack. I have all the parts except the small cable that connects the two Intercontroller ports on the controllers. I can't find a part number for this cable, does anyone know if there is a way I can order just this cable from HP spares or somewhere similar?

Thanks

Ah sorry, you mean that port... but the Intercontroller port is not used, only the mirror ports.

When the EVA 4000/6000/8000 and 4100/6100/8100 were designed there were plans to use this cable for future features, that have never been implemented within firmware. There are no plans to implement these features in existing EVA systems.

Interesting...I also have a 4000 and an 8000 that have the interconnect cable, but they don't actually need or use them?

I'll try put the 6000 together without it and see what happens. Thanks

The paragraph above is taken form an HP official document. That port on the controllers is not intended to be used.
