      <title>EVA disk enclosures serial numbers</title>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We need to read the serial numbers of 8 disk shelves for support purposes.  Nothing worked so far; SSSU commands give only WWN of the disk enclosures, not their SN.  I know there is an HP-only tool for this but is there another way of doing it (I am not HP)?  I do not want to switch off the EVA with downtime and take off the disk shelves just to read their SN!!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Vince</description>

      <description>I have M6412B (EVA4000) and the SN are on the left side of it (if you look from the front).</description>

      <description>But an EVA4000 usually has a M5314A/B/C enclosure, the M6412 is used with x400 series.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I doubt if the older models store the number anywhere.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
