MSA50 Firmware Updates

We have a couple DL585's with MSA50's connected to P800's. The array controller firmware has critical updates available. I find reference to the need to update MSA60 and 70's prior to updating the controller. Nothing about the MSA50 nor can I find any way to even up the MSA50 firmware.

Anybody aware of a way to update the 50?

One of our techs tried the p800 update sometime ago and it wouldn't apply due to an incompatibility with the MSA.

We had an issue yesterday where one of the logical drives disabled itself. I don't know if this is a firmware symptom or not. Seems strange that you can supposedly update MSA60/70's but not 50's?

Might be that the MSA50 does not need an update?

If you still have the problems I would suggest getting in touch with HP support.

We use P600 cards with all of our MSA50's. No problems with errors related to the card.
