I need HP MSA500-G2 controller power supply replacement procedure. Can any one please help me. thanks.

This was already asked yesterday.

You need to disconnect the power cable, disconnect the big fan, pull the PSU, insert the new PSU, mount the fan, connect the power cable, all within 5 minutes.

Hi Mamun,

Its a very plain & simple procedure. Do the following step by step:

1. Pull of power cable,
2. Disconnect the big fan/blower,
3. Pullout the faulty PSU from the slot,
4. Insert the new PSU on the PSU slot,
5. Reseat the blower/fan
6. Connect the power cable, and wait till the blower indicator goes to green.

Thanks guys. But can I do it online? I mean, without powering of the whole array, can I replace the faulty one?

If the other psu is working, yes.
