    <description>&lt;!--!*#--&gt;hi, Everyone&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hardware:&lt;BR /&gt;M5314 containing 10 72 GB&lt;BR /&gt;2xHSV110 (vcs 3.028) WWN and checksum OK&lt;BR /&gt;1X HP storageworks 2/16 san switch&lt;BR /&gt;QLOGIC HBA&lt;BR /&gt;Commandview EVA 6.0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Issue:&lt;BR /&gt;I m able to cnfigure the array from commandview. I have created virtual disk and provisioning is done for host too. &lt;BR /&gt;Windows is unable to see the disk. In device manager under scsi controller it shows 4 HSV110. No disk is shown in  "disk management" even after scanning. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The BIOS of QLOIC shows the following when scanning for fiber devices&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;COMPAQ HSV110 (C)COMPA Q3010 "WWN HSV" 010000&lt;BR /&gt;COMPAQ HSV110 (C)COMPA Q3010 "WWN HSV" 010400&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any help is greately appreciated, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HNK</description>

      <description>1) I suppose you have created the host on Command View and presented the vdisk to it&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2) All batteries on controllers failed?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3) Not related to the case, but I recommend that you update to firmare 3.110 and Command view 9.2.</description>

      <description>"3) Not related to the case, but I recommend that you update to firmare 3.110 and Command view 9.2."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Likely is the case that he does not have a CV 7+ license for the EVA which is why he is still using CV 6.0...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Still, the upgrade to 3.110 or even 4.100 would be a good thing to do.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steven</description>

      <description>one thing i forgot to mention that there are no cache batteries in either of controllers. The batteries are bad and i am waiting for the replacement. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So disk will not show if the batteries are bad or not present?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks allot guys for helping me.</description>

      <description>Correct. Two dead or missing batteries and the EVA is good for a boat anchor, but it will NOT allow access to the data.</description>
