With EMC symmetric frames you can use the EMC time finder software to sync up the BCVs.

Which array do you have? There is a difference between business copy XP and business copy VA. For XP business copy is a real copy and business copy is controlled by raid manager. For VA business copy is a snapshot copy (no real copy, only maps are copied) and it is controlled using Command View SDM.

We have a similar VA7100 array running HP/UX 11.11. How do we do business copy and split that, and later on merge them back. How to get rid of the snapshot on the VA business copy? Thanks for detailed explaination and pointers.
