xp512 svp problem!
(notebook PC:
DKC410I
HITACHI FLORA270GX[US]
[D#5510885-1])

The HDD of the notebookPC had some badblocks,
finally Windows98 system can not start again!

We have xp512's DKC CD,and its DKC Microcode
Version:17.78.00，I changed the bad HDD,
setup windows98 but the DKC software can not
be installed in the windows98.

PS:May need a special version of windows98?

We also have xp128's DKC CD,and its DKC Microcode Version:21.08.23，and could be installed normally in windows2000,in the process of the DKC installation,I inserted
the xp512's config FDD.

Dos it work?

Normally you need a replacement SVP with preinstalled SVP software. Ask HP support.

but hp did not support xp512 anymore.

I asked hp tech-support(China-Shanghai),but they didnt give me a way to solve problem about the SVP.

no support,no spare part!
