hi experts
i have eva6000
with 2 disks groups
-the first disk group is made of fata disks and have alot of free space so i have added 2 disks to the disk group and the leveling reaches 57%
-the second disk group is made of fata disks the occupancy was about 99% so to be able to add more disks and allow the leveling to take place i have removed to protection level which was set to single so now i have about 2 disks as free space and i have added just 2 disks to that disk group the leveling start it reaches 22% and now the status is pending
note: the leveling on both disk groups take place simultaneously.

questions?
1) why the status is pending? can leveling occur simultaneously on 2 disk group?
2) how can i go out from this situation?

-you said that 2 leveling can occur Simultaneously so why should i wait the first leveling to end?

i have read at the following link that 2 leveling cannot occur Simultaneously
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1332615

-what is required space for the leveling to occur

-what should i see in the log in the VC if it is a space issue and what should i see if it is a load issue?

Hi,

FYI, Levelling is not a Simultaneous activity. It will be perfomed only one DG at a time. One DG levelling complete it will start another.

As you performed changes on both DGs, one is in progress and another is Pending.

Siva
