MSA2000 G1 adding new drive enclosure

I have an existing MSA2012i (G1) and plan to add MSA2000 Dual I/O 3.5 inch 12 Drive Enclosure(AJ750A) with 12 x 600GB 6G drives.

Can this be done online or must it be an offline (shutdown) additon? Cannot get anything from HP docs.

I can't say it with 100% certainty, but later versions (the MSA2324fc we have at the office) allows you to add new enclosures while online.

Hi, Erkle.

I wonder if you were succesful to add an AJ750A shelf (with 600GB drives) to the MSA2012i G1. On-line or off-line.

I am planning exactly the same configuration but Product Bulletin says nothing about being supported.
