    <description>no ! lvd scsi (ultra2, ultra3) will run at full speed even across 12 meter (40 feet) cales !! &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;ernesto from germany. &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;if you heve performance problems you probably have not the required high number of disk drives (very important for random i/o as in data bases) or a raid configuration that does not reflect your expectations (e.g. raid5 write performance is quite mediocre - which is a problem of raid 5 and not ogf the hw you use) &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;ernesto from germany</description>

      <description>our 5304/128 controller is talking to storage works 4354r cabinets with 36gb ultra3 15k drives......the scsi cables that we received are 12footers... &lt;BR /&gt;will we get any performance improvements with shorter cables???</description>
