Is there any good free tools around that I can monitor the XP arrays via either VPO or BigBrother. I know there is a SPI available for VPO but I am looking for some free and cost less tools.

I haven't found any, so I'm guessing that there isn't much published in the open world. It might be time to bite the bullet and purchase the software.

Hi,

The XP can send the SIM's by SNMP, so virtually any recipient able to receive SNMP can be used. However the advantage of the SPI is that the SNMP message will be read and the SIM will be translated to a more comprehensive message.

We are using the setup that mark described and it works very well wih our XP256, no problems so far.
Definately worth looking into.

Then,anyone got any documentation, or point me to any reference linkage, for setting up snmp monitoring using HPUX server? Is it being done via the internal laptop or remote console? And any mib table or compiler for me to decode the mib value? Thanks.
