XP24000 and Solaris 9

I am unable to discover luns presented to a Solaris 9 server. I have the correct PWWNs, correct zoning, correct server patches, correct Emulux drivers (LP10000), etc. I have removed and inserted the zones (dual fabric) to create a change state notification but no luck?

run

# cfgadm -al

and

# devfsadm -c disk

What does /var/adm/messages say?

I can;t remember if STM/MPxIO (Sun Traffic Manager is on by default in SOlaris 9) but you NEED it so your disks will be multipathed and load balanced "properly".

On Solaris 10 - ti is simply:

present Hitachi LUNS
Reboot if this are your first presentations

If adding and USP LUNs were already present, then simply do:

cfgadm -al
cfgadm -c configure cX, cY
devfsadm

and format should be ready to initialize them disks.

luxadm probe
luxadm display
etc.

will be your friends
