    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;AFAIK after you replaced the faulty disk the new drive will be syncronized automatically and the hot spare will get back to a spare status. All this will be done automatically, you don't need to do anything.       <description>&lt;BR /&gt;Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;our customer has an rp3440 (HPUX 11i v2)connected to MSA30 storage.&lt;BR /&gt;I have already configured (using saconfig)&lt;BR /&gt;3 x 72GB HDDs ar Raid 5 and one spare disk.&lt;BR /&gt;Now , one disk had failed and the spare disk is now active.&lt;BR /&gt;What are the steps which should be done after replacing the damaged disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks and Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Roger</description>

      <description>"raid5" an "saconfig" suggest you are using a smartarray controller.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So you only need to swap the disk and check with saconfig/sautil again.</description>
