Is installing a CommandView EVA server the same as CommandView for a XP ?

I seem to recall that the XP CommandView server sat on it's own private network ?

From high level would I be right in saying the steps are:-
Install CommandView software onto server
Ensure Server is fibre cabled and zoned in with EVA channel paths
Discover EVA

Berd

Your steps are right. I know CV EVA can exists next to CV TL, but I don't know about CV XP.

Why try it?

(I would preserve a backup of the server (a disk from RAID 1) before changing anything.

Hi Torsten,

The server will be newly isntalled primarily to provide access to a new EVA so it would not be necessary to backup initially.

What did you mean by TL ?

Berd
