Hi,

I need to know which software features would we have to license on an XP 12000 in order to take SnapShots and clone LUNs.

We would like to take snapshots of our filesystems which have oracle dbs or clone the LUNs so we could present these LUNs/SnapShots to test boxes just to play around, what is the best way to go on this?

Thanks

Yes, Business Copy is the licening you need. You can do Business Copies, and Snapshots. Beings you are using the term "clone" I will assume you are familiar with the EVA family. XP's don't have clones. The Busines Copy on an XP is like the mirror copy on the EVA. Snapshot is Point in Time, like the snapshot on the EVA.

Cheers,

Curt
