EVA4400 Licence Issues

Hi,

We have a EVA4400 and the Instant on license has expired.

I have obtained both a permanent and temporary license key but am struggling to apply the these.

I have followed the guidance that accompanies the key but the EVA appears not to accept them.

Can anyone provide any pointers on this or is this a known issue?

Can you explain in more detail ?

What kind of license it is ?

Can you share the screenshot of the error ?

Hi,

The License is a CV General License, there is no error, the license just doesn't get applied.

Please re-confirm the WWN ID based on what license generated.

What is the CV EVA version ?

Is it a FlexLM or Autopas license ?

At the time of installing license,
Remove the "" from the end of the license. Once you have pasted the license into the window then you MUST do a carriage return () and then use the enter button.
If you read the txt under the license key in the email itself it also explains this.

When you click on "Install Licenses" button what message are you getting ?

I think you should check the wwn.
You should use the node wwn and not the wwn of the controllers. You don't get any error but your license simply doesn't work.

Hi Frank,

That's pretty much the symptoms. Only thing is that the WWN is that of the node as this gets printed on the license documentation

Hi,
Have you done this ??
1: Only enter 1 licence at a time.
2: When you do the cut and paste of the licence remember to *omit* the string AND do a at the end of the paste *before* you do the enter for the licence key.
If the above is not clear just keep reading the licence email after the licence key and it tells you the above as well.

Hi,
At this point if you are convinced that you have checked all the info and it is correct and you have entered the licence in the correct way I would go back to HP and ask them to validate / re-issue the licence.
