    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Recently one of the disk in MSA2212fc is faulty. After replace the disk we found the disk status is AVAIL but all other disk status is VDISK.&lt;BR /&gt;# show disks&lt;BR /&gt;ID Serial#               Vendor   Rev.       <description>If you don't have dynamic sparing enabled you need to make it a spare disk first.</description>

      <description>If a disk went bad the system will restore the data on a spare drive. So the logical drive will be OK, but you don't have a spare any longer. With dynamic sparing a new disk will be used as spare if needed, without you need to make a new disk a spare, otherwise it will just sit there doing nothing.</description>
