Once I finally got a FreeBSD kernel that would work with the smart array 4200 controller I had to use the compaq boot floppies to initially configure the array, which then appeared as idad0 under FreeBSD which could be used like any other scsi disk, but I would also like to know if there is a linux or FreeBSD program that will allow me to modify the array configuration while the system is up, since having to bring down the system to change the configuration is not an option. <BR />(and not just because the machine is on the other coast..)
