Can anyone tell me how long the sub-system test takes after the controller firmware has been upgraded.

I do not know what Controller you used.
My system,VA7400, it take not over 10 mins to test sub-system after upgrated FW (VA7400 contains 12 disk, DS2405 contains 12 disks)
How many disk in your system?
What Controller you uses?
If it take long time to test sub-system, FW may not correct. Try to Update it agains.

Thanks for the reply, I stopped scubbing and the VA7410 came back as idle.
