      <title>Hard disk failed in DS2405</title>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;we are using DS2405 &amp;amp; three RP5400 servers are connected this it. In DS2405 One hard drive failed. i need to replace it , please tell me the procedure for replacing the Hard disk in DS2405.       <description>Hi asif&lt;BR /&gt;I would like to know if your DS it attached to VA7000 Family? In this case, The things you need to do is unpluging disks and pluging new disk.( VA has hot spare disk)&lt;BR /&gt;If it stand alone? it is only extend disks. And your data must be lost! at least one server lost data. Hmm this case you must recover from backup data.&lt;BR /&gt;1. Change new disk&lt;BR /&gt;2. pvcreate&lt;BR /&gt;3. lvcreate&lt;BR /&gt;4. newfs&lt;BR /&gt;5.mount and restore data&lt;BR /&gt;I will give you detail procedure if you expaind more your server connection diagram&lt;BR /&gt;Best regard&lt;BR /&gt;tienna</description>

      <description>Thanks a lot for help me.&lt;BR /&gt;Problem has been solve . I checked firstly Raid and it was configured factory default and i unplugged faulty HDD and insert new one.
