Hello,

WIN 2003 R2 has built in MPIO drivers. Are they supported for EVA 3000? Who has an answer?

Torsten,

Normally HP only support configurations that employ their own drivers (from the web site). Are these drivers written by MS, or HP supplied on the R2 CD ?

Hi Torsten,
MS MPIO is supported for EVA3k but it must be upgraded to VCS 4.x. Newest version is VCS 4.004.

with WIN 2003 R2 there are MPIO drivers a part of the OS. This drivers are native MS drivers.
I think Frantisek is right. In this case an EVA3000/5000 needs the VCS 4.x But as far as I know the release of the 4.x controller firmware was stopped by HP because of some bugs in it.
