      <description>Hello everyone.&lt;BR /&gt;I replaced a faulty disk from VA7110 but automatic rebuilding process not woking.&lt;BR /&gt;Auto rebuild, auto format, auto include are ON.&lt;BR /&gt;Inserted disk is used one from somewhere else..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The disk status is as follows:&lt;BR /&gt;Disk at JA0/D8:&lt;BR /&gt;  Status:_______________________________Good&lt;BR /&gt;  Disk State:___________________________Previously used ... (I can't remember details..)&lt;BR /&gt;  Vendor ID:____________________________HP 73.4G&lt;BR /&gt;  Product ID:___________________________ST373405FC&lt;BR /&gt;  Product Revision:_____________________0005&lt;BR /&gt;  Data Capacity:________________________66.757 GB (140000000 blocks)&lt;BR /&gt;  Block Length:_________________________520 bytes&lt;BR /&gt;  Address:______________________________7&lt;BR /&gt;  Node WWN:_____________________________200000186224030f&lt;BR /&gt;  Initialize State:_____________________Ready&lt;BR /&gt;  Redundancy Group:_____________________65536&lt;BR /&gt;  Volume Set Serial Number:_____________111DC488111DC5CC&lt;BR /&gt;  Serial Number:________________________3KT5ELBN0000&lt;BR /&gt;  Firmware Revision:____________________HP09&lt;BR /&gt;  Recovery Maps are on this disk.&lt;BR /&gt;  Space is reserved on this disk for subsystem metadata and may be a map disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Newly inserted disk is already formated in 520 bytes.&lt;BR /&gt;But Redundancy Group is 65536 and Volume Set Serial Number is different from other disks!!!!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I couldn't run the commandviewSDM GUI tool,&lt;BR /&gt;"launcher" failed to start with java exception errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How can I correct this problem?&lt;BR /&gt;Can I use "armrbld -r" command?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please help...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;* Here's controller informations (Controller1 &amp;amp; 2 shows exactly same results except serial number)&lt;BR /&gt;Controller At M/C1:&lt;BR /&gt;  Status:_______________________________Good&lt;BR /&gt;  Serial Number:________________________00PR00D52118&lt;BR /&gt;  Vendor ID:____________________________HP&lt;BR /&gt;  Product ID:___________________________A6189B&lt;BR /&gt;  Product Revision:_____________________A120&lt;BR /&gt;  Firmware Revision:____________________38370A120P1111031050&lt;BR /&gt;  Manufacturing Product Code:___________IJMTU00015&lt;BR /&gt;  Controller Type:______________________HP StorageWorks Virtual Array 7110&lt;BR /&gt;  Battery Charger Firmware Revision:____5.0</description>

      <description>Since the disk was used previously in an another VA, it will have it's signature on it. Hence it can't get included even auto include is ON.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can include the disk by running command&lt;BR /&gt;# armcfg -D JA0/D8 -a &lt;ARRAY id=""&gt;&lt;/ARRAY&gt;</description>

      <description>Thanks for your responses...very helpful.&lt;BR /&gt;Now I have one more question. ^^&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In above situation, if I &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;1&amp;gt; remove old(failed) disk in disk slot 8(JA0/D8)and leave the slot empty, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;2&amp;gt; insert a new disk to another slot(previously empty) and &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;lt;3&amp;gt; include the disk to Redundancy Group (# armcfg -a), &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;then new disk will replace the old, failed disk? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks..</description>
