I have a 5 disks Raid 5 on a Smart Array 642 ,
one of the disks failed so I replaced it but
instead of automatically rebuilding it creates a new array with the new disk.
ACU shows that SCSI ID 15 is missing but the new disk is at SCSI ID 4.
I put the new disk at the same slot as the old one. how do I change the SCSI ID ?
Hi Could you give us more details on how the disk is connected, whether its an internal disk or connected to some kind of an external enclosure. Also if you could attach the ADU report of the server.

Cheers
Andy

Hi,

I have gone through the ADU report and seems like the Array configuration has corrupted and I think nothing can be done in this case, you need to take the backup and then re-create the array and restore the operating system.

Andy
