Hi Friends,

I have recently upgraded secure path in our HP Unix servers which is connected to eva8000.

After restarting the server "autopath display" command is throwing an abnormal ouput like
"AUTOPATH : no SecurePath device found".

If i am doing a "autopath discover" command , after that "autopath display" command is giving proper output.

For every reboot "autopath display" is giving the same error. So after every reboot i am running "autopath discover command manually for getting the proper "autopath display" output.

Upgraded secure path version is A.3.0F.02F.02F
(version 3 sp2 patchset2)

How can i fix this issue?

If i am

Well in the first instance go to service pack 3 - see if that fixes your issue:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=471465&prodNameId=1825336&swEnvOID=7&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=co-58128-1

HTH

Duncan

Hi Duncon,

Thanks for your information. I have downloaded secure path 3 service pack 3. But not able to apply as the servers are in production environment and it is online.

Once i will get a downtime i will do that and will give you the feed back.

Also i noticed that while server boots it is giving a message that autopath discover is not set. How i can enable autopath discover to run automatically when the server starts.

Thanks and Regards,
Manoj K
Server Application Support
Bank Muscat-IT
Ruwi ,Sultanate Of Oman
Phone: +968 24768557

Over one million satisfied customers by 2010 through continuous enhancement of stakeholder value.

When you run "autopath display" immediately after the reboot what is the status of "Auto Discover"? Is it set to ON?

If not you can turn on auto-discovery using:

autopath discover on

see p87 of the manual:

http://bizsupport.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01403983/c01403983.pdf

HTH

Duncan
