I have an MSA 30 with twelve 72GB hard drives and it’s connected to an rp3440-4 server via a 6400 series controller. The MSA30 came with 6 hard drives and six months later we purchased 6 more hard drives and added them to the MSA 30. It has come to our attention that we might have an incorrect serial number on one of the hard drives. Is there a way for me to find out what the serial numbers of the hard drives are without downing the server and taking out every hard drive?

I am renewing my service contract and need to have these hard drives to be included. When I purchased the hard drives the invoice had the serial numbers which I gave to HP. This morning I was told that one of the serial numbers was wrong. When I did the sautil the serial numbers that are given there donâ t even come close to the serial numbers that I currently have.

Current HD New HD
SD537G7XE 2SD631G2AB
SGD537G80U 2SD631G2BD
SGD537G80H 8N06A312MNS Bad Serial #
SGD537G80K SGD545G6T6
SGD537G7TM SGD548G2C1
SGD537G79B SGD548G2HL

Device serial number Device product number
3KP3EC8200007703N9GJ BF0728A4CB
3KP1S83800007617HP9B BF0728A4CB
3KP1WJYM000076199BQJ BF0728A4CB
DNA1P6C0BV250651 BF07289BC4
3KP1W4QF00007619991N BF0728A4CB
3KP3E7VR00007703LA5P BF0728A4CB
3KP1AF30000076092CQ7 BF07288285
3KP1C098000076095JA5 BF07288285
3KP1BZTL00007608SY92 BF07288285
3KP1C0B100007609MF6Y BF07288285
3KP1BYMN00007609S6VD BF07288285
ANA1P5A07P240540 BF07288576
