HI,

I have just added 300 GB to my array. I have also extended one of the logical disk space. However, its taking a long time to do the extension. Can the process be halted? Otherwise, can the changes be reverted after doing the extension?

Regards

Short answer: No and No

Once you expand an array or extend a logical unit, you cannot make it smaller or remove disks.

LUN shrinking is only supported on EVAs with recent firmware and on some operating systems.

There is now a message on the MSA that says "Cached Hardware Enabled". What does it mean?

was the message looks like this

"CACHE HARDWARE TEMPORARILY DISABLED:
Informational
The cache memory hardware has temporarily been disabled typically because either the battery is not charged up or a capacity expansion operation is occurring. The cache will automatically be enabled once the condition has been corrected"
