Hey,

I see that the logs are from 30th of last month and 1st of this month...

Have they re-occurred? If yes, whats the frequency?

Is there any specific time stamp, like during high IO's or during backups?
Can anyone please help me with this?

An MSA 2324fc is giving me repeatedly the following type of errors, however when I log onto the webconsole or when I view physically the LED's on the unit, no error is reported. I am confused and cannot understand if there is an error or not on my device.

EVENT:
Disk enclosure event: fault.
Ok, since this is initial deployment, I am correct in assuming that the Controller, enclosure and disk firmware is up to date?

If not, lets do that first coz most errors can be false alarms due to firmware mismatch or outdated firmware.

We've seen similar issues on MSA2312fc (M110R21 old firmware). It would be nice if you could share your 'solution found' to the benefit of others experiencing the same problem!?

Many thanks ;-)

Solution found means HP know about it, should be fixed with a firmware update of the box. Still have not applied any updates myself since client is not willing to risk it now that the unit is in production.

Thanks JP. New firmware was posted dated 10 Feb 2010 (M110R28-02). I am going to do some lab tests with this firmware and roll out to the production MSA2000 experiencing the issue in the next few weeks. If it resolves the problem I'll post an update FYI.
