Hi,
it can be done via

a) External storage/AutoLUN to be able to modify also the geometry of the LUSE if needed (LUSE in the original XP to single LDEV to the new XP)

b) Continuous access with the replication split after the full copy (but here the LUSE volumes must be identical in order and also in block sizes

a)
the External storage:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01703678/c01703678.pdf?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

and AutoLUN
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01367853/c01367853.pdf?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

or
b)
Continuous access (replication)

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/storage/software/continuousaccess/index.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

Hi,
flex copy is originaly for the XP to MSA (external storage)

For HP StorageWorks Flex
Copy XP:
Used capacity is defined as the total capacity of all logical volumes that are copied to or from the
external storage subsystem (e.g. MSA1000 storage system). This amount represents the true usable
capacity of these volumes corresponding with the configured LDEV sizes (i.e. it excludes RAID mirroring
overhead).
Example: A customer wishes to deploy an XP12000 Disk Array. They wish to be able to copy 4.5TB worth
of XP12000 logical capacity to an externally-connected MSA1000 storage system.

Flex Copy XP differs from the conventional BC XP functionality in that Flex Copy XP does not maintain any degree of data concurrency or perform any "delta-update" operations. Instead, Flex Copy XP completes one full copy to and from the data source and the copy destination.

So the External storage solution and BC or CA is giving us more - mirrorclone rather then flex copy snapclone...
