soft diagnostic failure on EVA4400

Hi all,
I checked EVA status via command view and noticed alarm messages on both Controller(our eva has dual controller). Why these error appear? What does mean soft diagnostic is failure?

A softdiag failure, is when the EVA discover a failure/problem during startup/boot.

You should opne a case with HP, and have them analyse the event log.

You might need to have a component replaced, or you might have to simply reboot a controller.

Hi /jag,
I checked log and find out that one LUN was unreachable during startup.
I restarted controllers turn by turn then. Things are all right now.

As soon as, whatever failure, has been corrected, then a reboot of the controller(s), clear the soft diag error.
