Hi Guys!

I have an installation of EVA4400 with iSCSI connectivity option and upgrade(additional mpx100b). I have no special server for CV, and EVA is managed via it's management module.

I have connect two FC ports from EVA to two FC1 port on mpx100b, and connect eth. ports of EVA mgmt and mpx mgmt to the eth. switch. I can ping all them. But when i try to add iSCSI device in Command View it show the message:
Operation failed!
Error received from the iSCSI Controller. See log file for details.

Is it possible to do it from management module, or special server required for it?

Please see following link - CV Server Based Management (SBM) is required to communicate to MPX100b management port

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=115&prodSeriesId=1833384&prodTypeId=329290&prodSeriesId=1833384&objectID=c01387353#A6

Later code and CV versions are highly recommended

latest is CV 9.2 then apply CV patch 9.2.1
and EVA4400 latest XCS code is 09534000

Thank you for answer, but i've almost resolve the problem. It was in port mode. By default, the port mode is set to Fabric, but i don't have a SAN network, so my connection is Direct. After i've set the host ports type to Direct, i can discover the iSCSI controller and hosts.
