What's a sureshot?

If it's one of those old autoraids, then no.

Typically, the fans need to be 10krpm capable.
They usually have the fan symbol in a plastic bubble not on a paper sticker.

Later,
Bill
A5292A is a disk module that is used in HP AutoRAID 12H, therefore, you can't insert it into A3312A.
I also think that you can't put it into A3312A due to different size.

Hope this helps,

If this were a drive from one of the old Model 12 AutoRAID's rather than a 12H then you could use the drives. The 12H drives like your A5292A are intermediate in height between the low-profile and half-height drives used in your jbod (hass ENCLOSURE). The drives will physically fit into the odd numbers slots of your JBOD but I would be converned about proper cooling. You should also note that the 12H drives are single-ended SCSI. You should find another drive.
