EVA4000 capacity licensing

Hi,

A customer is buying an additional enclosure and disks for an EVA4000, which is licensed for 2TB. He also asked for an 1TB LTU license more. There was a T5174A – HP StorageWorks Command View EVA4000 Series 1TB LTU. But according to the current Command View Suite documentation there is a T5175AAE HP CV EVA 4k Series Unlimited E-LTU. The old T5174A 1TB LTU seems to be discontinued. So, my question is: Is the Unlimited E-LTU the only option there is currently for the EVA4000 capacity increase?

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Rui

Hi, if you have the CV Unlimited then your customer shouldn't need to buy any more license to increase the amount of disk they can use.. as it's unlimited?

Unless maybe it was for BC or CA?

Hi, the Command View in the EVA4000 I'm considering is licensed for 2TB. Because the customer is adding more disks he is ordering a 1TB LTU license, which seems to be discontinued in favor of an Unlimited License (which is expensive!). So I would like to confirm there is no other solution.

Thanks.

Rui
